HALLOWEEN TOUCH A TRUCK AND EVENING PUMPKIN WALK
AT MEDWAYS CHOATE PARK, OCTOBER 27
MEDWAY, Mass. The Friends of Choate Park invites the families to the third annual Touch A Truck fundraiser and Pumpkin Walk on October 27, 2007. Rain date is October 28th. Kids of all ages are welcome to explore every type of truck imaginable from 10 a.m. to noon, thanks to the generous participation of local organizations. Over 20 vehicles will be open for children to discover and ask questions about, including a motorcycle, police car, fire engine, ambulance, dump truck, front-end loader, and many more. Other activities for children include face painting, temporary tattoos, and a prize wheel and games with the WMRC Road Crew.
Families are invited to come in Halloween costume and join in a Halloween costume parade on the beach at 11 a.m.; all children must be accompanied by an adult. Admission is $5 per person; children under the age of one are free.
The evening pumpkin walk runs ongoing from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and is free. This family-friendly stroll around Choate Pond is lit by jack-o-lanterns and features hot cider and snacks. To donate a carved pumpkin, simply bring it to the tennis court from noon to 1p, during the afternoon Touch A Truck event.
All donations are tax deductible and benefit the Friends of Choate Park, a 501c3 nonprofit organization comprised of volunteers dedicated to the preservation, maintenance and stewardship of historic Choate Park in Medway, located off Route 109. Parking is available at Cassidy Field off Winthrop Street.
