Meet metroMAMA

metroMAMA is an online resource tool and community for a modern mom looking for information for her children & family. It is targeted towards moms, but is a great resources for fathers, grandparents, teachers, aunts & uncles and other caregivers or children and teens.

This concept was developed through my own desire and need for a user friendly database of family-related resources in Worcester, metrowest, and beyond. By beyond I am referring to New England and across the country and world via the Internet.

Even with my Masters Degree in Education, my MA teachers certification in Social Studies, my 5 years of teaching high school, my own graphic and web design business and my very intelligent husband, I can't seem to figure out the new phone books. Well, throw them out,  metroMAMA has everything in one place. A portal to Massachusetts and beyond. Now you can go to one place to find those European children's shoes, that unique gift and that perfect photographer.

I have three young children and I understand a busy parent's schdule. Through my children's school, dance academy, playgroup and activities, I hear a lot of parents asking questions like, "Where can I buy Halloween costumes? What is a great activity to do on a rainy day? What dance schools have summer programs?, Where can I buy a winter dress coat? Who does maternity photography? What towns have youth soccer? Can you recommend an OBGYN, Pediatrician, Pediatric Dentist? Where can I find a midwife? Do your children have savings accounts? Do you have life insurance, should I get it? What is the best restaurant for me and my husband to go for a romantic dinner? Where can I get my hair done? Do any bakeries make theme cakes? Can you recommend a daycare, pre-school, high school? Can you help me think of cute party favors..." The questions are ENDLESS. Now I can say "go to mymetromama.com, you can find anything there."

metroMAMA has all of these resources in one place. We don't make the recommendations, other parents comment on the resources and you make the decision yourself.
