Review
Robert McCloskey's classic, Blueberries for Sal, is a Caldecott Honor Book. A young girl and her mother set out to pick some blueberries on a hillside. At the same time a mother bear and her cub set out to do the same. The cub and the little girl wander away from their mothers and find each other's mother. Soon the mothers realize that they are picking blueberries with the wrong child and quickly try to find their own. The humor and surprise will captivate young readers. The delightful pen and ink illustrations will be in your memories for years to come, and this story will surely become a family favorite.
*** Great gift idea- Give this book along with a blueberry bush.
